Re: Gunboat Co. Comes to North Carolina

That new GB 55 is really cool. It has this inside/outside helm.

The helm and sail handling area are truly indoor/outdoor. If conditions permit, the moonroof and windscreen can be retracted for open air sailing. When it gets wet, the moonroof and windscreen deploy for complete protection for indoor operations. In all conditions, you get perfect visibility of the sails and 360 degree range of visibility to the horizon.

I started a thread some time ago asking why aren't there more interior helms. Apparantly Peter Johnstone the Gunboat founder thinks this is a good idea too. Great minds think alike.

Gunboat 55 Description

If a GB 66 is about $4.5 mill then how much do you think the 55 will be?

Re: Gunboat Co. Comes to North Carolina

The only Gunboat I would ever be able to afford was the Gunboat 36.
I will have to find pictures of it, but it looked like a Main Cat on steroids.
They only made one and it all ended their.
