Grenada bottom / anti-fouling paint question

Liberty is sitting in Culebra, PR for a few days waiting for the trades to slack some before heading further east and south, but needing a haul-out and bottom job in Grenada in a few months (just finished scrubbing bottom, a several hour task).

With West Marine (and my Port Supply discount) just a ferry ride away, should I consider buying bottom paint here, or wait until I get to Grenada and buy it there (cost, types of paint available, etc.)?

Thanks in advance,
Dave

Re: Grenada bottom / anti-fouling paint question

Look up the Island Water World online catalog for brands and prices. Then be prepared to learn that what you really wanted is not available, and you have to substitute a different paint you'd rather not have used. You may luck out, I didn't.

I'd buy it in PR if I were you.

Re: Grenada bottom / anti-fouling paint question

Budget Marine and Island Water World have multiple stores in the Caribbean. They both sell multiple brands, mostly tax free. You can also buy Tin-based paint (Sea Hawk Island 44+) on most islands although they are beginning to ban this paint on a few islands.
