Gluing Hypalon to Fiberglass

Hi all;

I am ordering the stuff I need to resurrect an old Achilles inflatable. There are two worn spots in the rear of the tubes on the underside that is leaking. In addition, the edges of the hypalon strips that bond the hull to the tubes on the underside are coming loose. My thought was to remove that strip, and replace it with a larger one that covers the wear spots as well.

So I know what adhesive to use when bonding Hypalon to Hypalon. I am not sure what to use when bonding Hypalon to Fiberglass???

Same stuff, or something else?

I'm thinking its going to be like rubber cement or maybe polyurethane or Gorilla glue....
I hope the smart guys are going to chime in with some "experienced advice"

Chris,
I'd recommend calling Chad Stellwagen at Achilles in Severn, MD. 410-551-8246 or cstellwagen@achillesusa.com. He should get you the original product specs or hook you up with the right guy. He's helped me in the past. Good luck.
Best regards,
hm

I emailed Chad and he got back to me right away.

"You would use 2 part Hypalon adhesive and the gluing procedures as if you were doing a normal patch that was Hypalon to Hypalon."

So there you have it!
