Gloss or Satin for Cabin Sole

I am going to put a finish coat of polyurethane on the cabin sole. Trying to decide between a gloss finish and a satin finish. Built up the base with mostly gloss but a coat or two of satin as I had it in the locker. Need to decide on the final coat. What you think and why?
You can tell me I shouldn't go polyurethane if you want, but I am not really going to listen to that advice as I am already committed to polyurethane. Likely Minwax, as that is what I can get my hands on. Thanks

We've had both gloss and satin. Usually the gloss is harder, but with polyurethanes, I don't know. I would decide on how I liked the appearance best. If you go with satin, the accidental times you track sand in and scratch it will show less. When I think mine needs re-doing, I'm thinking satin again. Also, if the sole is dinged (by dropped whatevers, etc.) the dings show more with gloss.

Multiple costs of gloss with a final coat of satin. That’s what I’ve done. Gives depth with the gloss and durability with the satin.
