Flexofold propeller dissasembly

When I hauled out my boat I noticed my Flexofold propeller has some free movement and upon closer inspection it seems that some plastic spacer that's inside propeller inner hub is broken. I want to disassemble it to make replacement part etc. but I can't find a way how to open it.

This is how my propeller hub looks:


And this is after it has been taken apart (this image is not taken by me):


On the bronze threaded locking ring I can't see any holes etc. that could be used to grab it and unscrew.

Are you certain that what you see in the photo are threads?



I'm not very familiar with FlexOFold props, but on the Volvo folding props that I am familiar with everything is just pressed together with a big hydraulic press. Nothing threaded...



Perhaps its time to contact a knowledgeable prop shop near you or FlexO Fold.

I would call Flexifold and explain the problem. I’ve called them and always found their support to be excellent.

I have contacted Flexofold and they said that I can ship it to Denmark for repair. So it’s an option but I would like to see myself what has been broken. I have in our sailing club guys who can machine new parts.

As 'Hobby' suggests: Download the Installation Instructions, Parts Lists, and Assembling Videos, for your particular model. You should be able to intuit disassembly from those [simply follow the mounting instructions, in reverse order] .
