Faucet slow with whale gusher foot pump

The previous boat owner installed a wetbar faucet for better looks. It needs some pressure to push the water through it so it is fairly slow to pump water out of. I had an unused kitchen faucet so I installed it thinking it wouldn't need as much pressure. I was right but it still too slow. The bent aluminum pipe in the head sink is extremely fast. Anyone have advice other than getting a similar unit?

I did remove the faucet from the kitchen sink and pumped, the pump itself is not the issue. These faucets are designed for use with pressure water.

Some faucets have a fine mesh screen at the outlet. These screens notoriously collect small bits of sand and the like. The flow reduces to a trickle over time. If your's has such a screen then remove, clean and reinstall.

I've removed three screens on the outlet. I will just have to upgrade the pump to something larger.

Assume you are routing the foot pump water through a standard pressure faucet. If that's the case, you need to either prop the faucet permanently open or remove the guts of the faucet. Have the bent tube spigots meant for foot pumps and they work fine even pushing water through a charcoal filter.
