Hi,
horray an antifouling thread

Almost as good as anchors,
guns and mono vs. multi.
Please keep this focused on how well the mentioned product is working and please do not enter into the typical ecological debate. Thank you.
The
boat is doing speeds around 5-8kn, intermittently at
anchor for several weeks, occasionally drying out.
Usage is in warm to tropical warm waters.
We are looking to buy antifouling and I recently found Akzo-Nobels Relest
Marine 522 range.
Has anyone here used it successfully in warm waters like the
Med and
Caribbean?
Further:
What is the difference between:
Relest
Marine 522 Longlife
and
Relest Marine 522 Ecoship
I do have the impression Ecoship is better suited to warm waters. Not sure.
Is it possible to apply Relest during a tide cycle?
Possibly several layers in consecutive tidal cycles?
Old
paint is still a flawless, one well-holding layer of Hempel Pro.
Can Relest be applied directly onto that?
Appreciate info from folks who have actually used this stuff.
