Encapsulating ballast keel
I am considering a Tartan 30 for purchase. The owner has encapsulated the external ballast with glass/epoxy and looks to be a good job. Just wondering how much l should worry about the keel bolts. What are your thoughts?

Likely done to indirectly address a keelbolt problem in the first place. Seems a peculiar approach to me, but may be a good one if well executed.
