Dump Airhead urine in galley sink?

I have an Airhead composting toilet which requires dumping the urine Container evry couple days or so. I want to come up with an easier way of disposing of the urine than carrying the urine up, out, and dumping overboard. Before the gnashing of teeth begins, let me say that I will NEVER regularly carry jugs of urine to a land toilet.

One solution I'm considering is to simply dump the urine down the galley sink (eliminated head sink) and flush with a little water. Sounds pretty disgusting I know, but whenever Leslie is not on the boat to protest it may be the perfect solution. You are all invited to breakfast on my boat by the way.

Does anyone with a composting toilet do this? Do odors develop over time? Am I too disgusting to live?

The other solution would be to plumb the urine to a holding tank and pump it overboard which seems to defeat the whole point of a composting toilet huh?
All suggestions for a solution to this problem welcome!

err.. ok, it may be possible that I know someone who knows someone who might find that the galley sink is a neat way to dispose of the jug o'juice...

but that's just hearsay, ya know?

Further hearsay is that it doesn't cause any problems...

Get a port-a-let and wag bags..

Personally I like indoor plumbing, I would not use a composting toilet in my house and tote piss around so why would I do it on a boat that rocks to and fro.. uggg...

I know a dude that "converted" his head sink into a urinal. Took all of 5 seconds . He says he flushes with water afterwards to "clear out the pipes" (haha). Apparently there's no odor or any issues so far.

Just save the transport from the head to sink and pee in the sink in the first place!

rofl!

This thread had made me laugh out loud!

If I were the type of person that did not use a toilet on land to dump it in;-)
I would just dump it over the side

i have a chead. Learned about that one online doing research....Sara's threads about crappers helped me in finding the chead as airhead and natures head are the predominant ones advertised

Re: Dump Airhead urine in galley sink?

There was a time when train diner crews (cooks, stewards, etcetera) pissed in the sinks, and train cars had no holding tanks. Bathroom signs said not to flush toilets when the train was at a station.

Old-time freighter and tanker crews had sinks in their quarters, but they were placed at chest level to prevent this from happening.

I know that guy! He sometimes throws a little white vinegar down the drain and sprays the sink with a bleach solution too.

Just say'n
