That guy probably makes more per hour doing that than most people here make in a week.

Hmm.
Not that composting is bad.

When we got the boat there was only an 8 gallon or so stinky soft bladder tank under the master bunk. See it hanging above the bunk in one of the photos. The boat as built had none. In the classic old design with swooping bow and long overhanging narrow stern, low freeboard there is surprisingly little unclaimed space. The usual spots house 5 diesel tanks and 4 water tanks. We studied standard odd tank dimensions and fabricated one of paper before buying the 18. It is under the master just below our pillows. The sweet nothings whispered in Lynn's ear is the sloshing of the poo.

Re: Dump Airhead urine in galley sink?
The most salient posts in this thread has to do with the comparison of the different receptacles of the different composting heads. The rest is just fun and games.

Re: Dump Airhead urine in galley sink?
Without reading too carefully of all 18 pages of fun here, I don't think anyone has mentioned the issue of ammonia containing fluids and copper based fittings undergoing stress corrosion cracking:
Season cracking - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
So if your sink has bronze, copper or brass fittings you might be better off not dumping your urine down it unless you plan for having to replace some of those fittings down the line.
