Does anyone have any experience applying West Systems 105 epoxy underwater?

I recognize West and others make epoxy specifically designed for use underwater or in wet environments. However in a pinch has anyone tried applying West 105 underwater?

It would have to be thickened of course with micro fibers or something else to make it more putty like. If so which hardener did you use and what was your results?

Re: Does anyone have any experience applying West Systems 105 epoxy underwater?

My very limited experience is based on overnight dew affecting the exposed surface of uncured West System. Turned the surface milky and I felt strongly compelled to sand before applying a second layer. My guess is that the water at the bond interface would be of concern. Try a sample in a bucket of water and report back...

I basically did that last night. The filler I used was for fairing not micro fibers. I mixed up about 0.5 ounces. This morning a substantial chunk had set up but some of it had sloughed off and floated to the surface. Essentially I wouldn’t put much trust in it as being structurally sound.
