Diesel tank

Hi out there

I have cleaned my diesel tank and will put on the service hatch and want to use some kind of easy handled pasta to sealing it instead of the rubber that was there before.

What sort will you recommend...easy to handle and rather easy to open up in another 10 years.? !!

Re: Diesel tank

Macaroni?

A corkoprene (cork and ground neoprene) gasket would work, it's used for engine crankcase gaskets.

Re: Diesel tank

Use a nitrile gasket material. Anything else is second best and could be dangerous.
