Deck scrubbing - alts to doing it by hand ?

Anyone know of a electric scrubber that could be used to scrub decks ? My arthritis is not getting any better !!

Get a "Deck Dolly" usually a young lady (or not) with very short shorts and a tee shirt soon to be wet. Costs about $10 - 20 Hr. Often worth it. Cheaper than a Bissel which does not work.

We have one that rotates based on the hose's water pressure.

But I usually just wait until it rains.

Assuming the deck is fiberglass, I would suggest Clorox home cleaning spray. Secure all lines off the deck, and spray the deck with the cleaner. Have a beer or two, go for a sail- whatever. Then rinse with a hose. I have also sprayed the deck before leaving and let the afternoon S FLA rains rinse the boat.

Are there any electric scrubbers ? The marks I have on the deck need scrubbing to go away. They won't go away with a high pressure jet.

Have you tried Davis FSR? I was surprise how well it worked on some of our stains that didn't come up with other cleaners.

+ 1 on the boat scubber!! Our kid's made some GOOD money cleaning boats ! but then they had a bunch of training! LOL our boat always looked clean ! LOL But all kidding aside, there always some younger kids around that will clean your boat for a fair price and if they are live aboard kids they will mostly do a pretty good job ! at least mine did LOL

No, not tried this stuff. Will buy some today (if they have it in !).

Mr cleans magic eraser - Good for bird **** and severe scuff marks ? I don't think so.

Kids - never seen any available around my marina.

Have you tried Barkeeper's Friend? Is there someone you can hire to do it? It doesn't sound like a big job.

There was an electric scrubber sold some years ago. It had a waterproof motor head with brush on a pole and was powered by a battery that you carried in a pouch hung by a strap over your shoulder. It was great for scrubbing the waterline as well as decks. It worked pretty well but there just wasn't enough of a market for them.

Now with this all said I'd be very careful not to damage nonskid and gel coat. I have NO experience here but thought I could give you some ideas. I personally use old fashioned elbow grease to get my boat clean then apply Woody Wax nonskid wax.

Btw the one from Hammacher $chlemmer is made for boats. It was called Yachtsman I believe. Link in my post above but be prepared for sticker shock.

I second the "Deck Dolly". In the end, it's a bargain.... and you can just sit back and supervise! (ie: watch!)
