Spent 4 hours down at the yard today...

Got the 40grit flap wheels on the grinder... followed by 40 grit on the orbital sander...

Up at the boot strip there really didn't seem to be a need to remove the resin layer... it looked in pretty good shape (was a beehatch to grind off)... all the resin coating below the waterline came off remarkably easy by comparison...

Still a whole lot of hull left though!


Will likley be next saturday before I get some more time... pesky "training" at work...

The pictures explain a lot. IMHO I wouldn't bother with the peeler. I'd just grind out the blisters, let'm dry good, fill, fair in and barrier coat really well. And that'll do the best you can for that type of construction.
