I'm thinking about
buying a
project boat with
interior damage. It looks as if the
boat was flooded.(?) Since I see the damage to the
wood by the floorboards, I was wondering what I'm getting myself into, I.E. what can of worms I might open.
Weather wise, the boat is located in
Florida. Owner claims it was under cover and was going to be re-furb'ed. I asked if the floors were solid, he replied they were, but some of the
deck hatches were soft. He suggested they could easily be reinforced, and the
cabin floor would need to be re-carpeted. Any opinions of what I'm looking at that might cause me to re-consider going through the expense in
buying and picking the boat up?
