I bought a
project boat a little while back and have finally been able to take it out of the
water. Though it is in dire need of new
bottom paint, I was pleased to see that the
hull looked good and there were no sign of
blisters, damage, or other issues with the
keel.
The main problem I found was a crack in the trailing edge of the skeg, and a handful of areas where the
paint (and thick
marine growth layer) flaked off of the skeg/rudder to expose
fiberglass.
I've attached a few pictures and am looking for some
advice for
repairs to the skeg/rudder before the new
bottom paint is applied. Thanks!
