Coupling (Joiner, Connector) for 1" SS Tubing?

Has anyone seen a fitting that will join two ends of 1" Stainlesss steel tubing? I need a rigid coupling type of thing....no pivot...?

Are you looking for a tube connector?? In the past i have used the next size up tube as a connector.

You just need to insure that the OD of the tubes you need to join fits inside the ID of a tube for a connector. Then slip over the tubes to be join and drill and screw or rivet.

What you are looking for does exist - I know because I have one.

It slips over 1" tube with a close clearance fit and has a raised ridge running along it to give some thickness for the four threaded set screw holes. It’s definitely a casting.

It’s about 4 inches long, made of stainless, and polished.

The trouble is I can’t remember where I got it, or what it was called.

Obviously I’m not much help.

thanks

Capt Bill, Thanks for the suggestion....
I'm doing my best not to have to fabricate something or special order only a foot of tubing etc but I may have to.
Mike, thanks for confirming that it does (or did) exist.... an it wasnt my imagination!
I guess I'll continue to scour the net...

I think this may be what you want -

Marine Rail Sleeves

I got the link from the canvas shop a few doors down from my shop.

Looks like you’ll need access to a drill press to drill and tap for 1/4-28 set screws.
