Coopercoat, what to put on saildrive and prop

Hi all,

I have Coopercoat on the hulls and rudder of my cat.
But what to put on the new Flex-o-Fold 3 Blade propeller and the saildrives?
I am in canary island but doing a 10 year world circumnavigation, next Caribbean.


Propspeed:
Saildrive: only the final coat on the original coating of the saildrive, good solution quick and cheap
Flex-o-Fold prop: complicated to apply especially due to folding

Jotun Aqualine:
Primer protects from elektrloyses, you can simply spray on primer and Aqualine.
To re-play you can simply take off loose parts, sand quickly over and spray over with Aqualine ist primer is intact. If not you can spray primer over blank spaces and then re-apply Aqualine. Couldn‘t find much references but nearly all at SVB where positive

Velox Plus:
Spray System like Jotun but you need to take all off before reapply.

Propglide: first review look positiv.

So far I would use:
Saildrive: propspeed final coat on top of orginal coating
FFOF new: Jotun primer+Aqualine

Any other recommendations or what I should do?

All of you that have copper coat what do you have on your props, saildrive, shafts?

We do not have coppercoat, and nor is the vessel a catamaran, but we have had excellent results from Prop Speed, and from Prop Gold. You'd want to discuss it with the coppercoat folks, but nothing in it that I'm aware of would be contra-indicated.

I think Ann is right - this independent of what type of bottom you have.

We have copper coat now. Our last boat, we didn't put anything on the prop. We will continue without anything. Both boats have shafts so - no idea about the saildrive.

I have always painted epoxy primer on my saildrives to remove the antipole from the sacrificial anodes. This has always worked so far. Now I painted 2x epoxy primer on the hull and saildrive and 4x copper paint on the hull and saildrive.
The copper balls are isolated in the epoxy and cannot form a galvanic element.

Look at my microscope pictures at 200x magnification.

Previously tried all the paint on solutions and maybe got 1 year. This lasted 2 1/2 years without issue,
Not a fan of propspeed.

You put that mussel buster also on a saildrive or only propeller?
