Converting a Talor kerosene stove to propane

Has anyone heard of a conversion kit to modify an old Taylor stove/oven from kerosene to propane? I found a shop in Phuket that used Force 10 burners to do this. Or is there a gimbled propane stove out there that will fit in place of the Taylor?

Re: Converting a Talor kerosene stove to propane

I may be wrong but think the Taylor Stove is a standard width of 22" from gimbal end to gimbal end. Are you sure that a regular 2 burner boat propane stove won't fit??

Personally would stick with Kerosene 'cause the Taylor stoves look so neat. If you want to test the integrity of your hull to deck joint, would go for a conversion. Shouldn't be all that difficult to do especially if you you don't use a temperature controller in the oven. That is, manually set the temperature by controlling the burner according to a thermometer.
