No coffee filters. Just go toward the back for solids and toward the front for liquids.
Mold gnats have nothing to do with the media you use. It has everything to do with how effective/quickly you are drying the solids.
Some think that it is about media contaminated with eggs and go to great lengths to decontaminate.
On the few occasions that deposits have gotten ahead of the drying and the mold
and gnats show up, it has been a non-issue.
I am about to quit wasting keystrokes here, because I canít help notice that people gravitate to complicating the simplicity of what these systems should be.
