Composite Carbon Fiber Chainplates

We recently built these carbon fiber chainplates for our Ariki catamaran. The boat will get Dynex Dux shrouds with Colligo deadeyes on the bottom. These were layed up with West epoxy and then vacuum bagged to pull them down tight. We had the engineering done by Eric Sponberg in Saint Augustine.

Nice work!

How will you keep the soft eyes from chafing?

Re: Composite Carbon Fiber Chainplates

The shrouds terminate with an anodized aluminum deadeye that is lashed to the chainplate with a Dynex Dux lanyard that is seized up tight to prevent any flopping around as the shrouds load and unload.
