Combining bottom paint

About to put on 2 coats of bottom paint.

I've gotten 1 gallon of Marpro 67% and 1 gallon of Marpro 45%, both with biocide.

My original idea was put the 45% on first, then the 67%. The old man who owns the boat yard said he'd do it the other way around.

Another option is to mix the two for an, I guess, 56% paint.

Anyone have an opinion?

Thanks

I'd mix them together. Why sweat the small stuff?

Re: Combining bottom paint

Call Marpro and find out of they are the same base formula and compatible. Otherwise you might have issues later. Either poor adhesion, drying, longevity, or anti-fouling performance. Or it might work out just fine if you roll the dice.

I figure my time and effort is more valuable than the paint, even as costly as it is.

Definitely. Advertising makes us guess at a question like this.
