Catalac Rudders

i have a 8m catalac with rudders that don't kick up. how do the original rudders on the 8m kick up? thanks - jeff

Theres a 6/8 mm rope goes down from a cleat just above rudder tho a shackle half way down back of rudder the other end comes back up to cleat

Gives 2 :1 purchase to pull rudder up

Held down by a 6/8mm rope that goes down a groove next to rudder pintles and ties to a hole at the front an top corner of rudder pull hard and cleat to0 hold rudder down. when the rudder is down it is pulled slightly infrount of the pivot line to give a semi balance feel .. if the rope snaps or is loose the semi balanced nature is lost an the helm becomes really heavy to turn you have to stop the boat to pull down properly as too hard when its moving

I could get sizes and photos next time I go down to boat if you need 2 /3 weeks till next trip though.
