Burner pot heaters from International Thermal Research

Anybody have any experience with the burner pot heaters from International Thermal Research.

These look similar to Refleks heaters--in that they are burner pot style. They are manufactured in Canada.

Just curious and doing research on different heating methods.

Re: Burner pot heaters from International Thermal Research

No experience with this brand, but have used both Reflex and Dickenson pot type marine heaters for many years on 2 of my yachts.
I've had a look at the manual for the smallest of the "camp" heaters. Its possible it would work on a yacht, but a) these are not stainless steel and would rust quickly b) the draft requirement is for a minimum 8ft. long chimney which might be difficult to live with on a yacht. Assuming the unit was mounted on the cabin sole with 6ft to the cabin top, that would mean around 3ft of external chimney c) there is no provision for a booster fan to get the draft going during the initial startup when the chimney is cold. The Dickenson and Reflex have that capability.
