Re: Burned fabric from solar panels on bimini ?

I saw in the brochure the factory panels in the option list go on the couch roof. I’d think shadow reducing power and possibly glass gel coat damage? Also sounds like you could burn feet walking on them?

Re: Burned fabric from solar panels on bimini ?

New to us boat with 4 flex panels on top of the bimini, but zippered onto a cover attached to the bimini. I discovered a small cigarette sized burn hole through the cover underneath one of the the panels that had failed. The panel was approx 3-4 years old.

Re: Burned fabric from solar panels on bimini ?

My exact experience. Looked like a cigarette burn then I noticed same spot under each panel. I’m trashed cause the rear zip on panel will close in just the cockpit ahead of the wheels or at the back closing in the whole cockpit. I know just the guy to reproduce it fortunately.
