Broken Roller furler

Hello ,

I have an old Goiot roller furel that the foil is cracked vertically inside one of the channels .

Two cracks ; one is about 20cm(8 in ~) and another about 10 cm ( 4 in ~) long

I tried to epoxy them with special epoxy for the metal( the one they use on motors) but the epoxy cracked after i have undone the holding tools.

i can't hoist any sail because the swivel get stuck where the crack is( because of the crack the part is larger) .

I will probobly cut the roller furler of the headstay and switch back to hank on.

Before i do this, are there any way to repair it that i didnt think of ?

PS:new foils are not an options, discontinued long ago

Re: Broken Roller furler

Maybe have the foil TIG welded?
