Bow glass deck connect to hull fix

Hi,

I recently purchased a 28 foot sailboat to fix up. On the bow, both starboard and port side there are approx 12 inch (30cm) exposed deck/hull glass. This gap is between the toe rail and the anchor rollers. Below are 2 images of what it looks like.

Can anyone give me some advise on how best to repair this and to check for possible related damage?

Thank you
