Re: bottom paint

To solve my bottom problem I always put 12 packs of Cayenne pepper in the last gallon of anti fouling, and don't have to scrub for at least a year, and we stay in the water full time and live aboard, and pull the boat every three years.

Re: bottom paint

A neat way is to put 2 coats of soft over hard paint. Less scrubbing the first year or so.

You already have the best anti fouling paint available- Trinidad. However, no anti fouling paint is going to last more than 2 or 3 years and yours is well past that. To maximize paint longevity and boat performance, you should be having the bottom cleaned every 2 months in the SF Bay Area.

Regarding using a TbT paint- even if you are somehow able to get your hands on some, no yard in the country will let you apply it.

BTW- the cayenne pepper thing is a wive's tale and a waste of good pepper.
