Boat Storage and DIY Yards in Florida

Hi, I was hoping to hear from anyone about where they store their boat in Florida. I am looking for a reasonable dry storage rate for the summer at a DIY yard and would consider either the east or west coast. I would appreciate any info as far as pricing and services offered, thanks.

Not too many DIY yards left in S FL as far as I know. Playboy in Dania is the only one I can think of.

N FL Green Cove Springs Marina on the St Johns River is a good spot. Haven't been around the west coast on a boat for a while.

Have you tried Active Captain website? It has a very extensive database of Marinas all over the US.

After looking at the other rates Green Cove Springs is looking good.

Haul, pressure wash and launch $4.75/ft (add $0.75/ft if bottom need scraping). Blocking $48-$83 depending on boat length.

Yard rate in work area with water and electric $0.40/ft/day. Storage $4/ft/month

Robbies here on Stock Island, Key West, has lots of boats on the hard with folks doing their own work. I've just been here a few months and I'll be moving on but I'm real impressed with this place.
It is Key West, so other places in Florida might be cheaper.

Oasis Boat Yard St Augustine

We had our cat hauled last Dec at Oasis Boat yard in St. Augustine. It is a DIY yard and the people running the place were great. They hauled, pressure washed and blocked, I painted. Not the best way to spend Christmas vacation, but saved a bunch of money!

Just painted the bottom (last week) at Cape Marina, Port Canaveral. I thought the price was reasonable when taking into consideration the location, availability of stores, services, etc. I also like their professionalism - it has been consistently good during the numerous times I have used the yard (about 10 bottom jobs)

Good luck!
