Best Coating/Oil for Teak Handles

I got a new (used) steering wheel and I’m wondering what (if anything) to put on the teak handles. The rest of my brightwork is done with Cetol, but I think it will be too slippery on the handles and also prone to chipping off. I like the feel of the bare wood grain when dry but I like it less when wet, feels kinda spongy. I was thinking regular teak oil might make sense to keep it from absorbing water, but I know there are many other options this day and age... any suggestions? ThanksClick image for larger version
