bending teak

Can you bend teak by steaming it the same way that you can steam and bend oak?

Yes you can. allow about 1hr per inch of timber thickness. Also, ensure you have a good flow of steam. Hot and free flowing is best. Don't allow it to cool, condensate and saturate the wood. Keep it flowing through so as you have good consistant heat along the length of the timber. Or at least the length you want to bend. Slightly overbend the steamed timber, as it will spring back a little once it cools.
So what is the project?

I;m going to make seating or a berth where the Jacuzzi was and some curved pieces would look good.
