i am redoing my entire electrical system
i ran three 12 gauge wire leads from the panel to the aft cabin (15 feet) salon (15 feet) and v berth (20 feet) all to a bus bar, i plan on running 16 gauge to the lights and fan and cig/usb from the bus bar and then run a 16 to the bow running lights (25 feet) i am using LED lights

do you see a problem with this set up

Figure out the **maximum** amps that will (ever) flow through each circuit.

Be sure to use actual wire path distance, round trip (doubled).

Download the Circuit Wizard app from Blue Sea.

Ask Q's here until you are confident of your ability to spec wire gauge yourself.

Also start drawing your electrickery stuff, existing vs proposed.

I’m redoing my basic electronics also. Largest load I thought will be my CPAP which is still only a few amps but I’m wondering about a stereo draw. Online reports are all over the place of true amp draw.

Do you have access to all locations you’re replacing wire or just pulling new wire as old comes out?

Amplifiers are indeed all over the map, and draw depends if you turn it all the way to 11.

Actually measuring is best, using an AH counter to capture AH per 24 hours actual usage as well as just maximum Amps.

Suggest you investigate using aviation grade wire vs marine. Extra cost is minimal and aviation wire specs exceed marine by 50%.
