When adjusting my
B&G 1992 vintage
autopilot to D (downwind) it stopped working & my
instruments sounded an
alarm with the message Pilot Fault. I attempted to reset the
Autopilot by hitting the bottom left and right buttons. Eventually, I got back to the appropriate
screen to move from standby to "on." The
screen went to "on" successfully but the autopilot did not engage. Previously, anytime I tried working on my windpoint I would get an autopilot failure which I could remedy by resetting the autopilot. Speed, windpoint, and timer are all daisy chained to the autopilot. Each time I turn on the
instruments I get the Pilot Fault
alarm. Any suggestions?
