Thanks Bill O for your comments. Unfortunately I don't have any pics of the rudder. I have attached a pic I took of the original plans which may or may not show what is currently in place. Hopefully that will give an idea.

I did see the plans in your your first post and it has a semi-balanced rudder that should make the helm relatively easy to steer underway.

Still agree w/others that you may need to repair/go through the hydraulic steering system to get it back in working order. Luckily once you get them repaired they are rock solid.
