Anyone used blackened stainless steel fastenings?

I'm refitting my toe rails which are a blackened aluminium and it seems a pity to not colour match with blackened through bolts. I'd like to do the same with the main and headsail tracks.

I see blackened SS bolts are available but I'm looking for real world experience as their appropriateness in a marine environment. I don't want to have to replace about 100 bolts in a couple of years time due to unsightly rust stains.

I'm thinking of using shoulder caps and washers (rubber or plastic) to stop the dissimilar metals touching and causing corrosion.

Cheers

I’musing some in our pilothouse, not out in the open. They are doing fine though, with blackened common steel fasteners corroding nearby.

I blackened my own SS screws by heating them to match cherry wood but that was inside. They never change colour. The colour is adjustable and determined by how you do the heating.
