Anyone try Porter cable restorer?

Does anyone have any experience with this tool? Seems like it would be good at stripping down fiberglass. Light weight too.

It looks as if it essentially has a rotating drum about the size of a beer can which does the sanding. So if this is the case then it'll be tricky to avoid sanding hemispherical divots into softer surfaces. And to sand anything into a smooth, flat surface, or fair, even curve.

q,
I don't have experience with this specific tool, but my Porter sander with 5" disc is over 25 years old with a billion miles on it and it is in great condition. I would highly recommend any Porter Cable product. Good luck and safe sailing.

I have a bunch of older USA made Porter Cable tools as well. The old stuff was great. Really well built and lasts forever. They got bought by Black & Decker / Stanley in '04. Now everything is made in Mexico / China and is crap. Shame.
