Anyone heard of Vaassen Ports....

We need to replace several of our opening ports...the originals are from Denmark and it would appear that they are no longer in business. I have not found where they were picked up by another manufacturer such as Goiot or Vetus...has anyone found suitable replacements? They are in a recessed area so they need to be exact replacements.

Vaassen is a city (Pop. 30,000+), in The Netherlands (Holland) in the state Gelderland (Lat/Lon: 52.283 N x 5.966 E).
Reading Dutch (or even German) might help in searching.

I have five of them I am trying to find out more about. I have only searched for a few hours, but with no luck yet. Mine have a label that says Lloyd certified.

Have five, selling on ebay next week...only know Vaassen and the label says Lloyds certified. Amber plexiglass and aluminum case with alum.covers well made for sure.

Aluminium Industrie Vaassen is - I believe - no more in existence. I will check this as I am in same province. It might be that they are taken over by another company.

I'm just guessing here, but I would imagine that after five to six years, the OP went and replaced his port lights.

Even for a sloth-like sailor, that's a long time to put up with rain in the saloon.
