Re: Anyone can share experiences with a wet blasting kit for a Kärcher K2?

And if you find a stripper that will remove epoxy, it will destroy all the tabbing and epoxy holding the case together. You will just need to build a new case.

I think a more reasonable goal would be mild paint stripper with scrapper on pole, followed by hand sanding with a pole. You get bare epoxy but not bare wood and get on with it. You just don't have the access to sand accurately.

(Yes, I've worked in CB cases and I've done a lot of epoxy and glass work. What I've described is a compromise.)

Hope the claim holds true for properly cured epoxy and not just for under cured or uncured epoxy.
I'll write them an email. Sounds to good to be true, but definitely worth checking.

Thanks.
I have used it to remove multiple coats of cured epoxy. I works but is still a bitch taking multiple applications. Nasty stuff. Don't get it on your skin.

Re: Anyone can share experiences with a wet blasting kit for a Kärcher K2?

Thanks guys.

Regarding epoxy stripper, of course it will be only applied on the surface of the cases marine plywood walls and not along the joints.

Regarding blasting through the deck. Thanks for the warning, I'll run some tests if I need to use this method.

Regarding building a completely new case, that would be major open heart surgery, the current case is very well built in and not really damaged.
All I want is remove the old paint builtup as well as glass it for further protection in the coming years.

Btw. I have worked with glass and epoxy for about 35 years, so I am not really new to the subject.

Thanks again for your ideas and thoughts. Appreciated.
