48 came with a bunch of sliding windows using these fairly brittle/crappy window latches
, a few of which are completely broken and need replacing. Any idea what this window latch system even is? It's basically a bendy plastic handle that, at rest, can slip just behind a little lip on the opposite window, locking it shut, requiring you to bend it back around from the inside to open the window past the lip.
So really there's two questions:
1. What are these, so I can potentially buy more to replace the broken ones?
2. Is there a better system I can replace them with that uses the same tiny-lip system?
Until then we'll just keep using dowels, but it's not ideal.
