Antifouling

Hi all. I was just quoted for a bottom clean and antifoul. All done underwater.
I always thought you had to slip the yacht to antifiul it?
Thought?
Best regards

I’m curious how your vendor proposes to roll on wet paint while the boat is in the water?

this is a normal job , but for big ship. dry-docking cruiser ship 100-200meter drydock cost from 0,1- to sky limit. this 200-900 meter long dry-dock cost exstremly if boat is 10 year old cheaper is scrap, and build new from repair.

Interesting, and quite feasible for a ship.

Seems impractical for a small private vessel that can be plucked by a standard travel lift

There is no anti fouling paint that can be applied underwater.

Re: Antifouling

It would rather alter fsbttms career trajectory if there were such a thing as bottom paint that could be applied underwater....

That’s true, the video is epoxy paint for pipelines.

WHAT? Certainly you have heard of water color paint.

Seriously one could try Hycote 151.

Although that is also an epoxy coating, not really an anti fouling paint.
