Antifoul - Shelf Life?

Digging out the lockers of our 'new to us' boat we have found 5 x 2.5L of International Micron Black. The imprinted date on the unopened cans is 1999. Can anyone advise the implications of using this, given that International specify a shelf life of two years for this product? I am loathe to dump $600 worth of stuff without first seeking the advice of 'you who have gone before'

What is the exact name of the paint? If it has TBT in it, you might have a compatibility problem since most paints today are not TBT-based.

Have you opened one of the cans? I am sure that the copper inside has settled very hard to the bottom of the can. You will need to find a paint shaker and let shake for a min of 15 minutes, then check it. However, the paint can may not be able to endure the shaking resulting in paint EVERYWHERE. What happens is that the hardened copper becomes like a block inside and will possibly destroy the can.

IF you can get it to shake up, the paint should work just fine.
