Aluminum toe rail options?

Our aluminum toe rail is showing a lot of signs of corrosion. Even pulling away from the hull where the two pieces of toerail meet of the port side. I have looked, and not found any water intrusion. But I want to fix this before it gets any worse. My first thought was replace the toe rail with something similar from Crest Aluminum. But then I started wondering if there were other (less expensive) options? Glass over the hull/deck joint? A teak toerail? Maybe a hard plastic of some sort? Maybe something that hasn't occurred to me?

What have you all done?
