Alumeron and Brass Port Lights

So i have been thinking about replacing the brass portlights on the boat during the upcoming planned refit and have been searching the internet for a supplier that had something to offer that was close in size. The vessel is only 20 years old but there doesn't seem to be anything that is close. I probably could go oversize but about half of the 24 lights are within 1/2 inch of the headliner so doesn't give much room.



So now I am back to rebuilding the old ones and really they are not in that bad a shape but I am tired of the maintenance and it is impossible to find parts. Aurora apparently makes a product called Alumetron that is supposed to keep polished brass like new for 5 years or more. Anybody heard of it or tried it? I do love the look of polished brass.
