Hi all - been reading some threads regarding the reinstall of our
boat tank which I had to remove in order to find out just what the heck has been causing intermittent stalling past 6 months!
Well a 5" long piece of rubber seal that broke off from somewhere came out!
Anyway - I have put in the por15
fuel liner and its busy drying. I noticed some pitting on the outside where the foam had trapped
water in and im reluctant to do the same. Needless to say the tank still looks real good, nothing more than light flakes on some small areas which I sanded down and painted over with the por15.
Im thinking of using that plastic
shower flooring with holes u step out onto (they actually hurt my feet), but I think they will act as an excellent support underneath the tank -
And then use ribs down the sides and fore/aft to keep it centered and call it a day -
thoughts on this approach?
