5230 polyurethane glue replacement

I need to glue my rudder bushing and have a Beneteau document that says to use “5230 polyurethane glue” presumably from 3M. However I can’t find it online and a local 3M supplier in Portugal tells us to use this instead:
3M Scotch-Weld low-odor acrylic adhesives DP810 and DP810 NS.

Now when I hear acrylic I think “brittle” and for polyurethane I think “flexible” and therefore this sounds like a really bad suggestion. I have written to 3M but am without reply so far and I would like to hear from the knowledgeable people here anyway what they think based on this glue’s specs. The information sheet I got only mentions steel and aluminium as metals that can be glued and the bushing is a copper based alloy.

This is urgent as the boat yard clock is ticking and fees are charged while I figure out which glue is available and appropriate. So thanks to anyone coming up with speedy and accurate information.

Re: 5230 polyurethane glue replacement

The more I research it the more I’m convinced that acrylic glue is totally inappropriate for the job.

Sikaflex 292i for bonding and filling of interstices seems to be a good alternative. Any reason not to use it for this purpose, or under water?

I read in another thread somebody did the job with the more generally applicable Sikaflex 291i. And it’s still holding after 4 yrs.
