2-Part Polyurethane Paint Cleaner / Polish

Have a 5 year old 2 Part Polyeurethane Paint job on my sailboat which is holding up well. Friends who have a similar painted boat use and recommend "AWLCARE" for use on such surfaces. Anyone out there have success with more 'safe generic' (i.e., less expensive) products (name brand products cost about $25 - $30 per bottle), particularily the AWLCARE product which is supposedly a non-abrasive polymer product. I normally wash the boat using liquid "Joy" or "Turtle Wax" car wash soap which seems to work quite well to get dirt and stains off. I realize that 2 part poly paint products normally don't require "Polish" or "Sealers", but would be interested in comments.

Try using some “Varsol”™, or Kerosene.

As always, when testing, selecy an unobtrusive location, and be prepared to rinse with copious amounts of water.

Stoddard solvent (25 − 50% by Weight)
Stoddard solvent, otherwise known as “Varsol”, Mineral spirits type I, or Petroleum distillate; is used as a paint thinner, in some types of photocopier toners, printing inks, and adhesives; as a dry cleaning solvent; and as a general cleaner and degreaser.

Dipropylene glycol monomethyl ether (1.0 − 10% by Weight)
Dipropylene Glycol is used as a solvent, coupling agent and chemical intermediate.
