Yanmar warranty claims: Yanmar not responding

I'm desperately trying to get hold of Yanmar and open a warranty claim.

I opened several service requests at

They have never got back to me in two months.

What should I do?

Try calling a dealer local to you?
Just a guess, but maybe listen to dealers more often.

If you have an automobile with a problem, you are expected to take it to a dealer and they file the warranty paperwork, it may be like that

Thanks, I wish it was that easy.

I'm in Salvador de Baia, Brazil, at the moment. If I use the Yanmar official Dealer Locator on the web, only a guy repairing Air Conditioning appears on the map here in Salvador.

It's not that easy when you are in a foreign country and don't speak the language. The manager of the marina here is also helpless.

That's why I was relaying on Yanmar Tech Support on the web (perfectly useless) and their dealer locator feature.

A bit frustrating, that's why I thought of posting in the forum. The knowledge of the community is always precious.

Oh well, I guess it's another lesson about how the marine industry works. I'll find out a dealer somehow...

I was finally able to get in touch with someone at Yanmar in Sao Paulo (who surprisingly speak fluently Japanase, so we could understand each other), calling another number: +55 19 3801-9240

The person has been very helpful and he's getting us in touch with someone in Salvador.
