Yanmar Starting Issues and Tach Not Working

Hello everyone. There has been may posts about Yanmars not starting and tachs not working. I had both problems on my 4JH2-HTE and both issues were solved using solutions on this forum.

Not starting: I added the relay that had been suggested a number of times: Problem Solved.

Tach not working: As suggested, I checked the spade connections where the wiring harness connects to the tach senser/sender on the flywheel housing. One of them seemed to be the issue, so I replaced it and now the tach is working. Problem Solved.

I just wanted to let everyone know my experience with these solutions.
