I need some help with a yanmar
3hm35. I have always found a wealth of information here, so here goes.
The problem: went to restart engines after winter shut down. stbd engine
started fine, however rebuilt 2 years ago.
, however always seemed to run fine for past 3 years. I believe it is in injection pump
. started at source and worked my way out, filters clean, replaced feed pump
, have great fuel
flow to injection pump. cracked hard lines at fuel pump
, nothing. Removed hard lines and cranked engine, hardly any fuel
appears out of pump. based on manual schematics and that all 3 valves not pumping, could it be fuel cam not turning on shaft (keyway broken) ? or something inside pump??
I did search the threads and the only thing I did and hope hasn't caused a problem is that seacock was open while cranking engine. When engine didn't start right away, I didn't think to close seacock while trouble shooting.
Can anyone help, sure would appreciate any input.
