Am curious...... a question for the whole group. Not all Yanma's sit at a sailboats 20deg or whatever it is.
What's the impact of an engine sitting horizontally? Does the level on the dipstick change? if is it in the middle of the sump?

Our dipstick ( yanmar ysm8 ) sits to the front & 1 side. To visualise what happens with change of angle stick a straw in yr beer glass with beer in & tilt it back & forth.
Do this with 1st glass in case it gets confusing....

It looks like the parts manual has a little bit of artistic license.
